The most common question we are asked about salmon is about the Skin on our Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon; While we understand it is popular to have a skinless fish for visual appearance, did you know that there are many yummy nutrients in salmon skin.   For example, salmon skin contains concentrations of omega-3  fatty acids, this is because the salmon’s healthy fat is in the layer just beneath the skin.  So when it is cooked, the skin and flesh soak up these healthy fats.  Remove the skin after cooking if you desire, but give it a try, you will be healthier and happier.  Did you know that bears normally only eat the salmon skin and throw away the meat - just something to think about.
